FIBREGLASS
FIBREGLASS, OUR CHOICE OF SKIN MATERIAL:
Once the rust problems were eliminated we had to decide on a material to reskin with, that would not let water in, as the older, rivetted skin had done. We did the homework which I won’t bore you with and made the decision to go with fibreglass for a few reasons, again, I won’t bore you with why we chose this material. Sufficient to say it is tough, doesn’t need paint, can be easily repaired, and done in the way we have, is virtually one piece, or waterproof. It is not the cheapest option, but we felt it was the best.
